Recorded at tea, a museum in santa cruz de tenerife. I was invited by dancer masu fajardo to create some sound ambients for a dance piece she was doing there, we decided to use only the sounds being created by her body and her interactions with the space. Sometimes you really need to get away to peace & quiet. This recording, made with my handy zoom h4-n and its built-in stereo microphones, was made in perhaps the quietest time of the morning -- that magical time between 3am and 4:30am when the birds even are still asleep. Made in a backyard of a town of about 7-thousand people.

Hi, i recorded this sound especially because i couldn't find any good quality keyboard typing sounds. I used my kit (zoom h5 and rode videomic pro) to capture the sound while my friend was typing. I used the microphone from 15-20 cm far from the soubject and the room was small (around 15sqm), so reverb wasn't an issue. Bell tower of the basilica of the national shrine of the immaculate conception. Recorded on the catholic university of america campus with a zoom h2 in four channel surround mode. The front mikes faced the basilica. The rear mikes were fairly close to a building and captured an off axis recording of the original peals while the reflection off the building was on axis and is louder than the original peal. The two files can be combined for a surround image.

Tornado siren in streamwood, il recorded during the monthly test. This version is heavily edited, with some filtering and compression applied, as most of the recording was distorted (i was too close to the siren!), although it should be useable with appropriate filtering to suit your purpose. The actual siren is located a short way north west of the geotag (it should be visible using google's satellite view). Recorded using a rode ntg2 into a zoom h4.

This is a recording of children playing in the large playground at the luxembourg gardens in paris, france. The recording was made from the east side of the playground, next to an attraction that allows kids to hang from a sort of harness and slide down a rail. The metallic clink you hear periodically is the sound of the runners on this gadget banging into each other as kids jump off of them. Recorded with a zoom h4n at 96 khz / 24 bits in stereo with built-in mics.

It's an unedited recording of me lighting some matches in a quiet room. You can hear the sounds of matchbox's geting open, closed, the match being rubbed against the side of the box, matches catching fire and burning, finnally getting extinguished by waving.
